Summer Barbeques

The Committee are organising two barbeques this year, both will be at Hulme Towers.

The first will be on Saturday, 19th June, and preceded by a Competition at The Ship during the day (all are welcome, regardless of whether they play in the competition).

The Club Barbeque will be on Saturday, 21st August.

More details will be made available nearer to the time.

La Riviere St Sauveur Visit

We curently have 15 members intending to visit La Riviere St Sauveur, near Honfleur in Normandy, over the weekend of 28th-31st May. Anyone intending to join the trip, please let Ann know as soon as possible in order to finalise arrangements.

The intention is for all visitors to meet in Honfleur on the Friday evening. The competition will take place on Saturday (including a barbeque lunch), and, in the evening, dinner with our French hosts at a local restaurant. The cost for both meals will be 26 Euros per person.

The remainder of the weekend is free time.

2010 Fixtures

The fixtures for the 2010 season have now been sent to all members and also published on the web site. Please try to bring matches forward wherever possible if the scheduled fixture cannot be played.

All league matches should be completed before the 3rd September.

There are also Singles, Ladies Doubles, Men's Doubles and Ladies Invitational (mixed) Doubles competitions organised. Fixture dates are published on the club web site diary, and the formats of the competitions will be published in the near future. Entry fee is £2 per player for each competition.

La Riviere St Sauveur

We are planning to visit our friends in La Riviere St Sauveur over the Spring Holiday weekend, 28th-31st May. Please let Ann know as soon as possible if you wish to go, as travel and accommodation arrangements are already underway.

Club Committee

At the recent AGM, Alan Hulme became Vice-Chairman, and John Day joined the Committee to replace Ray Harper, who stood down this year.

Bill Mansell continues as Chairman, and Ann Mansell and Joy Simon were re-elected to their positions of Treasurer and Committee Member, respectively.
